What to consider in a healthy nutrition for children? 4 tips from us: 1. Every toddler eats differently and that's fine. Accept that some children will try everything and eat a lot and others will eat almost nothing. 2. Five meals a day. The stomach of a one or two year old child is still quite small. A few spoonfuls of this and three bites of that are usually enough at a meal. The Research Institute of Child Nutrition therefore recommends five meals a day, two cold main meals (breakfast and dinner), one hot main meal (lunch) and two small snacks. 3.
